Sandbox Farm began in 1998 as a small family holding with just three horses and a dream: to build a place where dressage could be taught with patience, care, and an unhurried hand. Nearly three decades later, that dream has grown into a proper stud farm — but the heart behind it hasn't changed.
What started as weekend lessons for neighbours' children has grown, year by year, into a full stabling and training yard that now welcomes riders and horses for weekend courses with overnight stay. We've kept things small on purpose. Every horse in our care is known by name, and every rider who comes through our gate leaves with something more than a lesson.

Mette
Founder & Head Trainer
Mette has trained dressage riders and horses at Sandbox Farm since day one in 1998. Her calm, methodical approach to schooling has shaped generations of riders who now compete across the region.
Lars
Co-Founder & Farm Manager
Lars keeps the farm running — from the stables and paddocks to the weekend courses. Ask him about the horses' pedigrees and you'll be there a while; he knows every bloodline by heart.

We keep our pricing straightforward because we'd rather spend the conversation talking about you and your horse than fine print. The rates above cover what most liveries and course guests need — but every horse and every rider is a little different.
Extra feed requirements, longer stabling commitments, private lessons, or special arrangements for the weekend course can all affect the final price. Just give us a call or send a message and we'll work out a plan — and a price — that suits you both.
